High-performance computing (HPC) has become a key enabler for the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence. Increasingly complex AI models and applications require infrastructures capable of processing massive volumes of data quickly and efficiently. In this context, network innovation plays a critical role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and energy efficiency of supercomputers, while also strengthening European technological sovereignty.
To meet the rapid growth in computing requirements and the rising demands of AI applications, a new generation of network solutions has been developed. These innovations optimize communication between system components, reduce latency, increase bandwidth, and streamline traffic management. The objective is to fully leverage the capabilities of hardware architectures and accelerate application execution, while controlling power consumption and anticipating future industry developments.
The teams involved addressed numerous technical challenges: adapting to new standards, integrating open and robust protocols, board-level validation, and transitioning from FPGA to ASIC. Each stage required deep expertise and a strong capacity for innovation to anticipate future user needs.
On this reference project, engineers at ELSYS Design, an ADVANS Group company, apply their expertise in the design, verification, and integration of hardware and software solutions for high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. Their involvement spans the entire development cycle: architecture, design, validation, methodology, and customer support.
