Clear rules for a respectful and responsible working environment

Our ethical principles

We apply clear rules to ensure a respectful and responsible environment.

This includes:

  • Combating all forms of discrimination or harassment,
  • Preventing corruption,
  • Protecting sensitive data,
  • Reducing our environmental impact.

As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, we are committed to upholding its principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environment, and integrity.

Valuing all skills and moving forward collectively

Inclusion and diversity

At ADVANS Group, we believe that a company’s strength lies in the diversity of its talents and backgrounds.

We are committed to gender equality through dedicated agreements and concrete actions.

We promote cultural and intergenerational diversity: our teams represent around thirty nationalities and encourage knowledge sharing between experienced engineers and young talent.

Our Disability Initiative supports concerned employees with tailored and confidential solutions, and our partnership with Avencod reflects our commitment to integrating people with disabilities into digital professions.

Gender equality

ADVANS Group is committed to professional equality between women and men. We have signed dedicated agreements and monitor our indicators, including the gender equality index. Our actions include promoting women’s career development, raising team awareness, and supporting parenthood. Our objective is to ensure equal opportunities and an inclusive environment for all.

Diversity

At ADVANS Group, diversity goes beyond origin: it is also reflected in backgrounds and generations. Our teams include around thirty nationalities and engineers at every stage of their careers. The most experienced share their know-how, methods, and hands-on expertise with young talent, who bring curiosity and new approaches. This ongoing dialogue fosters a mutual learning environment and strengthens our ability to innovate.

Disability Initiative

Our Disability Initiative aims to promote inclusion and equal opportunities. It supports concerned employees with full confidentiality, offers appropriate accommodations, and provides information on rights related to official disability recognition. We work with specialized partners and raise awareness within our teams to change perceptions of disability. Our objective is to enable everyone to thrive in their role by recognizing skills and turning differences into strengths.

Inclusion

For several years, we have partnered with Avencod, a company that leverages inclusion as a driver of performance. Avencod opens digital professions to people with disabilities by adapting their work environment and valuing their skills. Our collaboration was highlighted at the Inclusive Procurement Forum held in November 2025 by Schneider Electric in Grenoble.

A healthy environment for high-performing teams

Quality of work life

At ADVANS Group, we are passionate about what we do and strive for technical excellence, but above all, we ensure that our employees feel good within their company.

In France, we have implemented a remote working agreement and measures supporting the right to disconnect, to help preserve a healthy work-life balance. Our employees benefit from additional leave based on seniority, a holiday bonus, travel vouchers, referral bonuses, and agreements on professional equality.

Throughout the year, we organize events that shape the life of the group: seminars, internal gatherings, social outings initiated directly by our employees (e.g., TransPACA and TransAura), or through the Social and Economic Committees. Social dialogue is structured and active, ensuring that everyone can express themselves and contribute.

Committing to help, taking action to drive change

Solidarity commitments

We support recognized charities: Femmes Ingénieures, Gustave Roussy, Clowns Z’Hôpitaux.

In France, we have introduced a system allowing employees to donate days off to support colleagues facing serious family situations.

A skills-based volunteering program is currently being deployed to leverage our expertise in support of community-focused projects.

Femmes Ingénieures

In 2021, we joined the Femmes Ingénieures association to promote gender diversity in electronics, software, and mechanical engineering professions. This partnership aims to increase the visibility of women engineers and encourage female students to believe in their potential. Our objective is to help remove societal barriers and provide inspiring role models, so that everyone can thrive in technically challenging and rewarding careers.

Gustave Roussy

We support cancer research by working with the Gustave Roussy center, Europe’s leading institute in personalized medicine and immunotherapy. Our donations help fund cutting-edge research projects, equipment, and support programs for patients and their families. This commitment reflects our determination to actively contribute to the fight against cancer, particularly pediatric cancer, where needs remain significant.

Clowns Z'Hôpitaux

For over ten years, ADVANS Group has supported the Clowns Z’Hôpitaux association, which brings listening, lightness, and moments of joy to hospitalized children, elderly people, and adults with disabilities. Our donations fund regular visits to healthcare facilities and help create moments of humanity in often difficult contexts. Because patient well-being matters just as much as medical care, we continue this commitment.

Sharing knowledge, preparing for the future

Training and knowledge transfer

We work with many schools to help train the engineers of tomorrow.

Our teams contribute to academic programs, welcome interns, and take part in events promoting engineering professions.

We also integrate awareness modules on environmental challenges.

Academic partnerships

We maintain an active academic relations policy aimed at enriching engineering education through concrete contributions from the industrial world. This includes practical initiatives such as sponsoring training programs, having our experts participate in courses, and being involved in school life (career fairs, networking events, mock interviews, and support for student associations, particularly robotics clubs).

Interns and apprentices

Each year, we welcome dozens of students for final-year internships or work-study programs. We offer high-value projects aligned with our areas of expertise. Our commitment: close supervision, cutting-edge technologies, and hands-on experience that prepares students for employment. The majority of our interns choose to continue their journey with us, reflecting a technically stimulating and supportive environment.

Reducing our footprint, acting for the planet

Ecological transition

We are ISO 14001 certified (for more details, see About > Certifications) and deploy an environmental management system.

For our new sites, we prioritize buildings that meet the most demanding environmental standards. For existing offices, we work with our landlords and teams to reduce our consumption.

We implement a carbon action plan, a mobility plan, waste sorting solutions, and responsible procurement practices.

Sustainable buildings

Our offices in Sophia-Antipolis (Cor Natura building) and Grenoble (Spring building) are certified BREEAM Excellent, one of the highest international standards for sustainable construction. This certification reflects high environmental performance, particularly in terms of energy, comfort, and resource management.

Carbon action plan

In response to client requirements and regulations such as the France's tertiary sector decree, we have defined an ambitious carbon action plan. It covers mobility, travel, building management, procurement, and our offerings. Objective: adopt a responsible and collective trajectory to reduce our energy footprint. Initial results: from 2022 to 2024, we reduced our CO2e intensity (per unit of sales) by 37%.

Mobility plan

Our employer mobility plan aims to optimize and increase the efficiency of business-related travel, particularly employee commuting, in order to reduce transport-related pollution and limit infrastructure congestion (traffic).

Responsible procurement

Our procurement policy prioritizes, whenever possible, companies with strong and well-established CSR commitments. Two examples: For our printing needs, we work with Copiver, the leading French company in digital and reprographic printing in adapted enterprises (over 80% of its workforce are people with disabilities). For our promotional items, we notably work with Jordenen, which is also ISO 14001 certified.

Designing efficient, low-impact systems

Ecodesign: innovating differently

At ADVANS Group, we believe that the transition to more sustainable electronics requires action. It is not about judging how technologies are used, but about acting where we have an impact: design.

We encourage our clients to integrate environmental criteria from the design phase to reduce energy consumption, extend system lifespan, and limit resource usage.

As part of this commitment, we support initiatives such as sponsoring the Sustainable Electronics Chair at Grenoble INP-Phelma, UGA, to help evolve industry practices and train the engineers of tomorrow.

We also promote solutions such as the Rust language, which combines performance and efficiency, and we organize internal events to share these best practices.

For us, ecodesign is not a constraint: it is a driver of innovation.

Plan, act, check, improve

Continuous improvement

We have our practices audited by external organizations (ISO 14001 certification audits, Greenscope, and EcoVadis). These assessments guide our action plans to strengthen our commitments and expand our initiatives.

ISO 14001 certification

We are ISO 14001 certified, a standard that specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving an environmental management system within an organization (more details).

Carbon footprint

Our commitment to reducing carbon emissions is reflected in our recent achievements and ambitious objectives, with measurable progress tracked using the Greenscope solution, which we publicly disclose.

Ecovadis

EcoVadis assesses companies’ CSR performance across four pillars: Environment, Social & Human Rights, Ethics, and Responsible Procurement. The evaluation takes into account company size, industry, and location. ELSYS Design and AVISTO, two ADVANS Group companies, have respectively achieved Gold and Silver ratings, placing them in the top 5% and 30% of evaluated companies.
