ELSYS Design specializes in the design of embedded electronic systems. Our teams work across the full technology stack, with the capability to design complete systems, from hardware and software through to integration and validation.

ADVANS Group’s VIE program is being rolled out progressively, with assignments already available and new destinations currently being opened.

PORTUGAL

Our first VIE assignments are based in Portugal, in Lisbon and Porto. You will work either from our offices or directly on client sites, on a variety of projects.

ITALY

VIE assignments are available in Italy. You will work directly on client sites, on a range of projects.

BELGIUM

VIE assignments are available in Belgium. You will work directly on client sites, on a variety of projects.

GREECE

VIE assignments are available in Greece. You will work either from our offices or directly on client sites, on diverse projects.

REST OF EUROPE

We are currently working on opening VIE assignments in other European countries. This page will be updated progressively.

Eligibility Conditions & How the VIE Works

The VIE framework at ADVANS Group

The VIE program at ADVANS Group offers a structured framework, immediate integration, and personalized support. Below are the key conditions and practical details.

Junior engineers at ADVANS Group

Age and nationality

The VIE program is open to candidates of French nationality or citizens of the European Economic Area, aged between 18 and 28 inclusive at the time of departure.

Administrative documents

Degrees, identity documents, and other supporting paperwork may be required depending on the assignment or host country.

Assignment duration and terms

VIE assignments last between 6 and 24 months, depending on the project and host country. They may be renewed once, up to a maximum total duration of 24 months. Terms and conditions (compensation, social protection, support) are defined by Business France and adapted to each destination.

Recognized professional status

You are employed under the VIE status, an official scheme managed by Business France. This status provides full social protection (social security, health insurance, supplementary coverage), compensation adapted to the host country, and a secure administrative framework throughout your assignment.

Immediate integration

From day one, you join our teams and work on a project at the core of our operations, most often for one of our major international clients.

Personalized follow‑up and support

A local manager supports you throughout your assignment, helping with integration and addressing any questions you may have.

After the VIE

Your career prospects

A VIE at ADVANS Group is a genuine gateway to an international career.

At the end of your assignment, two main paths are available to you: you can continue your journey abroad by seizing new opportunities and taking on greater responsibilities on international projects; or choose to return to France, where the experience gained overseas will be a recognized asset when joining our technical centers.

In France, this experience opens the door to high value‑added positions: Experienced Engineer, Technical Expert, Technical Lead, Project Manager, Service Center Manager, or Business Engineer.

The skills you develop and the multicultural exposure gained during your VIE will enable you to work in diverse environments, collaborate with international teams, and accelerate your career progression, both in France and abroad.

Experienced Engineer

You design and develop complex systems, building on the international experience gained through your VIE. This exposure allows you to work on a wide range of projects, often involving multicultural teams or international technical environments.

Experienced Engineer at ADVANS Group

Domain lead

Recognized as a point of contact for a specific domain or technology, you share best practices and support team skill development (mentoring, training, support). Your international experience enriches knowledge capitalisation and technology watch, while helping evolve internal standards toward more global practices.

Tech Lead

You lead development activities for a project or defined scope, coordinate engineering teams, and ensure consistency across deliverables. Thanks to your international experience, you are comfortable addressing complex challenges in multicultural contexts and guaranteeing overall technical quality, regardless of the country or client.

Project Manager

You organize, plan, and track project progress, lead the team, and contribute to client relationships. Your VIE background enables you to manage international projects, work with foreign stakeholders, and ensure that deadlines, costs, and quality are respected in multicultural environments.

Service Center Manager

You oversee a project team dedicated to a client, manage administrative and operational aspects, and ensure client satisfaction across the entire service center. Experience gained during your VIE gives you a global vision and the ability to lead teams or projects in an international context.

Business Engineer

After an initial technical experience, you may choose to move toward business development and business unit management.

Working alongside a senior account manager or business unit manager, you are trained in all aspects of the role: client relationships, project follow‑up, recruitment, and team leadership.

Your international experience enables you to approach business development with openness to foreign markets and a strong understanding of multicultural challenges. Over time, you gain autonomy and become an active contributor to the growth of your technical center, in France and internationally.
