Collaborative Web Platform

A tool to manage a complex network

Our client manages an extensive network and carries out all related technical interventions. To oversee its projects, it had to coordinate a large number of stakeholders and exchange a substantial volume of data. AVISTO, an ADVANS Group company, designed a collaborative web platform to map, visualize, and share these projects.

One need: centralize and make information readable

Two key challenges:

  • Aggregating scattered data to facilitate exchanges with local authorities and negotiate intervention conditions.
  • Visualizing projects within an evolving urban environment, where layering information on a map is far more effective than using Excel files.

The technical solution: an intuitive GIS platform

The solution is based on QGIS, an open-source geographic information system:

  • A module retrieves urban planning open data.
  • The client’s investment programs are overlaid on an interactive map (OpenStreetMap).
  • Collaborative features allow information sharing among stakeholders and preserve a history to track uncompleted projects.

AVISTO’s role: coordination and agile development

AVISTO provided:

  • Functional coordination using an Agile Scrum approach to address the needs of multiple departments.
  • Development of the investment program visualization module.
  • Accurate and transparent technical follow-up, with weekly progress meetings to build a relationship of trust.

Conclusion: a solution for improved urban project management

This collaborative platform improves information clarity, facilitates communication between stakeholders, and optimizes the planning of interventions.

Client testimonial

“AVISTO first supported us with the functional coordination of the project. The proposed working method, based on Agile Scrum, proved highly effective in defining simple, user-friendly software that met the expectations of several departments within our company.

From a technical standpoint, the work was precise, efficient, and transparent, particularly thanks to weekly progress meetings. This approach helped build a strong relationship of trust with the AVISTO team.

If we need to continue development after the deployment phase, we will not hesitate to call on them again.”
